Getting Started

What's the difference between Quick Play and Host a Session? +

Quick Play is fully offline — one phone, zero setup, no Wi-Fi needed. Perfect for road trips or anywhere without internet. Pass the phone around and everyone plays from the same device.

Host a Session creates an online multiplayer room where each player joins on their own device. You get access to all game modes and can have up to 20 players in one session.

How do other players join my session? +

Share your room code with other players. They tap Join on their device, enter the code, and they're in. You can also share the QR code directly from the lobby screen — no account needed for anyone.

Do players need an account or the app to join? +

Everyone who joins a multiplayer session needs the app installed. No account is needed — they just enter the room code and pick a display name.

Game Modes

What game modes are available? +
  • Classic: Draw a card, answer the prompt, keep the conversation going. No scores, no timers — just good questions and better answers.
  • Who Knows Me Best: One player is in the spotlight. Everyone else guesses how they'd answer. Scores reveal who really knows you — and who was bluffing.
  • Rapid Fire: 30 seconds, one card. Answer before the clock runs out. Faster answers earn more points.
  • Team Battle: Split into teams and earn points by answering cards. Most points at the end wins.
How does Who Knows Me Best scoring work? +

Everyone receives the same card — a question about the spotlight player. Each person submits their best guess at how the spotlight player would answer, and points are awarded for every guess that matches. At the end of the round, everyone sees who knew the spotlight player best.

Can I play Classic mode offline? +

Yes — Classic mode is available in Quick Play, which works entirely offline. Choose your pack, pass the phone around, and go. No Wi-Fi, no room code, no setup required.

Custom Card Decks

How do I create a custom deck? +

Tap View more from the home screen, then tap Create Your Own Pack. Write your cards one by one — inside jokes, personal dares, whatever fits your group. You need at least 5 cards to save a deck. Once saved, your deck is available in any game mode.

How many custom decks can I create? +

Free players can create up to 3 custom decks. Premium subscribers can create unlimited decks. You can upgrade to Premium anytime from inside the app.

Can I share my custom deck with other players in a session? +

Yes — when you host a session, any custom decks you've created are available to add to the game. All players in the room can then draw from your deck during play, even if it only lives on your device.

Can I edit or delete a deck after saving it? +

Yes. Head to All Packs and tap Custom to filter your decks. Press and hold the deck you want to change — a menu will appear with the option to edit or delete it.

Premium Subscription

What does Premium include? +
  • All 20 Premium packs (1000+ additional cards)
  • Unlimited custom decks
  • New packs first — every drop, the moment it lands
  • Priority support
Do non-Premium players in my session get access to my Premium packs? +

Yes — when you host a session with a Premium pack selected, all players in your room can draw from that pack during the game. Premium benefits the whole room when the host has it.

How do I cancel my subscription? +

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone, find Candor: Card Game, and tap Cancel Subscription. You'll retain Premium access until the end of your current billing period.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device? +

Open the app and go to the Premium screen. Tap Restore Purchases at the bottom. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

I was charged but Premium isn't active. What do I do? +

First try tapping Restore Purchases on the Premium screen. If that doesn't resolve it, email us at support.tipsypixel@gmail.com with your Apple ID email and we'll sort it out promptly.

Technical Issues

A player can't join my session. What's wrong? +
  • Make sure both devices have an active internet connection
  • Double-check the room code — it's case-insensitive but must be entered exactly
  • Sessions that have already started cannot be joined mid-game
  • Room codes expire 24 hours after creation
  • Maximum session size is 20 players — check you haven't hit the cap
Scores aren't updating in real time during a session. +

This is usually a connection issue. Make sure all players have a stable internet connection. Ask affected players to close and reopen the app — they should be able to rejoin the active session using the same room code without losing progress.

The app crashed or something isn't working right. +

Try force-quitting the app and reopening it. If the problem persists, email us at support.tipsypixel@gmail.com with a description of what happened, your device model, and your iOS version — we'll investigate as quickly as possible.
